When does jewelry cross the line from being edgy and cool, to just plain dangerous? One slip and someone could lose an eye with this trend! They look really cool on celebs like Rihanna, Kristen Stewart and the Olsen Twins, but I’m so much of a clutz, I would never trust myself with some of these pieces…
What do you think? Weapon or accessory? Would you try out this trend or does it frighten you as much as it does me?

Maybe it’s because Halloween is right around the corner, or because the new Sex and the City movie is featuring an 80′s flashback, but for some reason, I just can’t get enough of the 80′s classics lately!
Bangles,leg warmers,long chains,crosses,black lace,mini skirts,tulle skirts,spandex leggings, super skinny jeans,cropped jackets,fingerless gloves,hair scarves,cool hats, bustiers…
Be dramatic and wear these items for Halloween, obviously paired with OVERLY teased hair or wear them in your day-to-day…80′s is in and I’m loving it!!

No, you’re not dreaming! First Alexander McQueen, then Anna Sui, and just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Jean Paul Gaultier confirms that he will collaborate with Target on a low-end collection! In stores March 7 through April 11, this collection is sure to be a hit! “Jean Paul Gaultier for Target pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture, the retailer said.” I’m hoping to see a little 80′s and rock n’ roll – Madonna perhaps (see above from his Spring 2010 collection)? Can’t wait to see some teaser pictures of what’s in store for this collection. I’ll be sure to keep you posted!
What are you hoping to get out this collection? Are you excited for this new line? What have you purchased from designer lines at Target in the past? Were you pleased with what you saw? Or just let down?

After much debate and back and forth, I’ve decided that this year for Halloween I’m going to be a biker chick! I know…not incredibly creative, but I just couldn’t stomach paying $60 for a costume from Ricky’s (Halloween store in the city). I went through my closet and started to pick out items that might work for my costume. Who knew that from just a few pieces that I already own, I could create a very cool costume for a very low cost.
Here’s what it’s looking like so far!
I’ll also put some temporary tattoos on my neck and mess up my hair a bit and I’ll be good to go!! What do you think?
What will you be for Halloween? Are you going to buy your costume or DIY? How much is too much to pay for a costume you will wear just once?

The past few days in NYC have been pretty cold. And today, coupled with wind and rain…not the Fall weather I’ve been looking forward to. Winter has creeped it’s way in too early! I’m hoping it goes into hiding again, at least for a little while longer. In the meantime, I’ve bought a new winter jacket and dug out my gloves and ear warmers (can’t deal with hats, they make my hair a disaster!).
What type of winter coat will be keeping you warm this winter? What are your favorite winter accessories? How much are you willing to spend on these very key pieces of winter attire?
Here are my picks! Shop them below!!
Coat with a hood and high neck! I got this DKNY coat in black in TJ Maxx for $75!! It’s more expensive online, so I’d check out TJ first! It’s really great and warm.
Something about toggle closures really catch my eye, and in that red…a definite keeper! To top things off, I got this hooded Michael Kors coat in Loehmann’s for $100!!
Fingerless gloves that give you the option of glove or mitten are the greatest invention that ever happened to winter wear. My hands are warm when I’m waiting for the bus, but I can flip the top off in a moments notice so I have plenty of time to grab my metro card!
And lastly, those ear warmers I was talking about…they are so toasty!! You can buy them here for $17.50, which is totally worth it. But street vendors in the city sell them for $5!! A great investment if you ask me!!
Now you’re all suited for the cold! Good luck out there!!

Denim outfits were seen all over the runways this year, but I’ve always had an aversion to full jean outfits, they kinda make me sick to my stomach a little bit. Celebrities are rocking this trend as well…what do you think of it? At first I was completely turned off, but I think I’m warming up to the idea, especially with something like Kim Kardashian’s studded vest!

Which one of these motorcycle jacket inspired booties is McQueen’s “Faithful” bootie (sold for $1,159) and which is Steve Madden’s much more affordable “Seryna” bootie (sold for $130)? Hard to tell right? And that’s exactly why Alexander McQueen is suing Steve Madden. McQueen is accusing Steve Madden of making an EXACT replica of their bootie, but I’m not sure what the big deal is. Companies do this all the time. McQueen and Steve Madden have completely different target audiences. Someone who can afford McQueen will not settle for this cheaper style and those who can’t afford McQueen would have never bought the “Faithful” bootie in the first place?
What do you guys think about this? Is it fair for McQueen to be so P.O’ed about this? Should Steve Madden have to take their copy off the shelves?
These shoes are so hot! I want me a pair of those Steve Maddens ASAP, but they seem to be sold out everywhere!! Can’t say I’m surprised!

The Look:
The pieces:
I love this look because she’s not trying too hard. She looks relaxed and cool, but with an edge. I’m loving the casual tee with the sexy black leather skirt, what a great mix of highs and lows.
I know it’s getting cooler outside, but you can definitely still make this outfit work by throwing on a cardigan and a pair of tights. Tights will make your peep-toe booties act as a pair of boots. Can’t beat that!
