What do you splurge on?

June 16, 2009

I am a self-proclaimed “bargain shopper.” Everything I buy is either on sale or extremely cheap to begin with. I pride myself on my ability to find the new “IT” shoes at a fraction of the designer price, but every gal has got to splurge once in a while. What do you splurge on? Shoes? Jeans? Beauty products? Handbags? Why do you splurge on this product and not others?

This was my latest splurge and boyyy was it worth it!!! I’m in love!

MARC BY MARC JACOBS STRIPPY ZIPPY GROOVEE HANDBAG: $498 (yikes)

Colorblock dress for $200?! I don’t think so!!

June 15, 2009

I have been seeing the colorblock dress in EVERY single store I go into. They are so flattering, vibrant and comfortable, but I could never get myself to purchase one for $60, let alone $200. BUT the other day I found one in Forever 21 for SUPER cheap, like I mean SUPER SUPER cheap, as in $13.50 and it looks almost identical to the $200 options. It is one of my new favorite dresses!

Which dress do you think is the $200 option vs the $13.50?

Okay…I’ll tell you…

The top picture is from Bluefly.com, the Black Halo Colorblock dress for $226
The second picture is from Forever21, the Fab Colorblock dress for $13.50

Did you get it right?

Do you own a colorblock dress? What did you (or would you) pay for it?

One Shoulder Ruffle Tops: What makes you feel sexy?

May 22, 2009

I made a quick stop at Target the other day and passed by the cutest shirt. $15 later I had the greatest addition to my wardrobe! I put it on that night with a pair of skinny jeans and tall sandals and I’ve honestly never felt more sexy…and classy. I’m loving this new one-shoulder look. It’s such an easy way to spice up an outfit while showing just enough skin…simply flattering for every body type (Target also has this shirt in plus sizes). Definitely pick one or two or three up, there are so many different color choices, you will NOT regret it.

Summer Dress and Gym Shoes? I committed the ULTIMATE fashion crime!

May 15, 2009

I did something this morning that I always said I’d never do and looked at others who did like they were insane…I wore a cute summer dress with my GYM shoes!!! My legs and feet do not appreciate me walking around the city in flats and sandals all the time…shin splints, tendonitis of my achilles heel…not cool! Doctors always said not to wear flats as walking shoes and I never listened…until today…

The pros:
1) My feet didn’t hurt
2) My feet were clean (no nasty black stuff on them)
3) I’m not ruining my good shoes by using them as walking shoes
4) People looked at me weird, but they were just jealous (right?)

The cons:
1) I looked like a fool

I said I’d never do it…but I’ll totally do it again tomorrow! Would you commit this crime?
