I always love Piperlime.com because of their Free Shipping and Free Returns. I think it is such a smart and efficient way to do business. They show their customers that they believe in their products so much that they are willing to take the burden of that expense for us. Also, 99% of the time I order something online from other sites it doesn’t fit the way I’d like it to, and I just send it back and don’t reorder b/c I’d have to pay ANOTHER shipping charge. But I’ve ordered MANY pairs of shoes from Piperlime, sometimes it worked first time around, but most of the time I need to send back for a different pair. Difference is, with Piperlime I don’t RETURN, I just EXCHANGE. Pure genius! And now they are offering the same benefits with clothing!?
Will I ever shop on any other website again? Will all other sites follow suit? Are you so excited?
Also, I love Rachel Zoe’s outfit picks…so dead on!
I decided to take a look in Old Navy yesterday and to my surprise there were tons of really cute dresses, shorts and sandals. I haven’t shopped in Old Navy in ages, so I figured…why not experiment. I got an arm full of clothes and headed to the dressing room, figuring nothing would look cute at all, but to be honest, everything was great! It was hard to choose just 1 item, so, I allowed myself to purchase 1 outfit (dress, sunglasses and sandals)…all for a whopping $48.50! There were so many cute outfits I could have come up with for under $50 as well…take a look!
Would you step foot in Old Navy? Which under $50 outfit do you like best?
I’ve been seeing beaded accessories and tops everywhere I turn these days. They bring me back…reminding me of all the colorful beads I used to collect and the necklaces, ankle bracelets and rings I made when I was younger. Maybe that’s why I’m confused by the fact that they are resurfacing now when older. I’m liking it, but it also makes me feel a little immature to put some of them on. On the flip side, what’s so bad about bringing back some good ole’ memories?
Do you like this trend or is it too reminiscent of your childhood to wear it all over again years and years later?
P.S. If you want to try to create some of your own jewelry pieces, there are places all over NYC (and I’m sure in your area too) that have classes that teach you how to be a bead whiz all on your own!
Check out Femme Gems in NYC. It’s fun to get a few friends together and throw a party with wine, hors d’oeuvres and jewelry making!
P.P.S. I’m loving Fiona Paxton…she definitely puts a more mature (and gorgeous) twist to this trend. I also found some knock-offs of her stuff for super cheap in Nordstrom’s B.P. department.
Wearing a cinch belt always looks so good on everyone, but every time I try to wear one I feel like I am suffocating…I can hardly breathe. Are the people wearing these belts way up high just sucking in all day and severely uncomfortable or is there something wrong with me? Do you wear this trend, if so, how do you make it work?
The gorgeous summer weather is FINALLY here and I can’t wait to throw on my dresses that I just dug out of my parents’ basement (yes, I still have to use my parents’ place for storage)! But I was struggling this morning with what was appropriate for the office. I tried a few things on: one was a little too Saturday afternoon-ish, another was too Saturday night-ish. Then there’s the indecisiveness over which shoes to wear…are stilettos appropriate or should I just stick with a basic flat sandal? I ended up throwing on the usual black pants and a shirt, maybe I’ll have better luck tomorrow!? What do you use as a guide to determine what is work appropriate and what is not?
I did something this morning that I always said I’d never do and looked at others who did like they were insane…I wore a cute summer dress with my GYM shoes!!! My legs and feet do not appreciate me walking around the city in flats and sandals all the time…shin splints, tendonitis of my achilles heel…not cool! Doctors always said not to wear flats as walking shoes and I never listened…until today…
1) My feet didn’t hurt
2) My feet were clean (no nasty black stuff on them)
3) I’m not ruining my good shoes by using them as walking shoes
4) People looked at me weird, but they were just jealous (right?)
1) I looked like a fool
I said I’d never do it…but I’ll totally do it again tomorrow! Would you commit this crime?
